The Deflector Gold Mining Project is located in the Southern Murchisonregion of Western Australia, about160 kilometres east of Geraldton and 450 kilometres north of Perth. It was acquired by Doray Minerals Limited in early 2015 as part of the takeover of Mutiny Gold Limited.

The Deflector Mine has a Mining Life Expectancy of six Years

The Deflector project consists of a high grade gold, silver and copper ore body with an estimated mining life of six years. However, there also exists considerable exploration potential for additional development along the, so far under-explored, seven kilometre long mineralised corridor of which the deflector deposit is part of.

Deflector to be Doray Minerals Second Producing Mine

The development of the Deflector Project will be Doray Minerals Limited's second project to be taken from the development stage to one of production. The first being the highly successful Andy Well gold mine located in the same Southern Murchison area. In fact the Deflector ore body has many similar characteristics to that of the Andy Well deposit as both possess a narrow, shallow vein and both are high grade deposits that can be mined predominately as underground mining operations.

Deflector Mine to be Fully Operational by 2016

A new gavity based flotation gold processing plant is to be constructed at the Deflector Project site to minimise haulage costs. It will be able to process copper and gold/silver content. The processing plant will be able to adequately recover gold bullion from a gravity circuit before it begins the process of producing a copper/gold/silver concentrate from its flotation facility. The concentrate is to be sold on commercial terms. The Deflector mine will significantly increase Doray Minerals Limited's mineral production and as such, is a major part of the company's ongoing project pipeline and enhanced asset portfolio. For this reason Doray Minerals Limited plan to develop the Deflector Project as early as possible and to have it at the production stage by 2016.

Doray to Draw on Andy Well Experience to Develop the Deflector Project

In order to fast track the development of the Deflector gold mining project, Doray Minerals Limited are to optimise the design of the operation and to begin construction work as soon as possible. Plant construction is scheduled to commence during the June Quarter of 2015 with open pit mining expected to start during the September Quarter, 2015. The company expects it will be able use the experience gained from the development of the Andy Well mine to optimise the work needed to be done to construct the deflector mine.

The Deflector open pit ore body, where mining activity is planned to commence, is situated beneath a rather thin transported cover. This deposit will initially produce transitional and oxide ore while the underground mine is still under construction. Access to the underground operation will be adjacent to the central lode.

The underground mine to be developed at the Deflector gold, copper and silver mining site will access the narrow high grade veins in the Deflector ore body. These veins exist in excellent pillow basalt host rocks. The ore is found to exist in three separate lodes, these being; Contact, Central and West lodes. There is good stand off distances between each lode and their strike continuity and vertical nature making them perfect for narrow vein mechanised underground mining operations traditionally practiced in Western Australia.
