Sojitz Coal Mining

Established in 2002 as a joint venture with Minerva Coal Mine and is the Australian subsidiary of Japanese company Sojitz Corporation.

Minerva is located in the Bowen Basin, Queensland and produces around 2.8 million tonnes per annum of premium thermal coal and has a 250 people workforce.

After railing the coal to Gladstone the coal is exported to a number of customers predominately in the Asia Pacific.
