ROA Mining Company

ROA Mining Company Ltd operates the underground ROA Mine, situated on the West Coast of New Zealandís South Island, 30km northeast of Greymouth.

ROA Mining Company was formed in August 2001 with Coaltrac AG acquiring a partial shareholding. In 2009 the shareholding was restructured to fall under New Zealand Coal and Carbon Limited.

Since August 2001 the Company has been carrying out important expansion programs which has included the opening of new access drives to the coal reserves and the construction of a primary wash plant and a workshop. This work was completed on March 2004. Underground and surface development and expansion still continues today.
