Karara Mining Limited

Established in 2007 through a joint venture between Anshan Iron and Steel Group Corporation (52.16%) and Gindalbie Metals Limited (47.84%) for the development of the world-class Karara Project.

Karara produces both high grade magnetite concentrate and Direct Shipping Ore hematite. Karara made its first shipment of magnetite concentrate in January 2013, before its official opening in April.

Karara has invested over $1 billion in infrastructure in Western Australia including an 85km rail line, a 330kV powerline, 140km water pipeline and an export facility in Geraldton Port..
