China Minmetals Corporation (CMC) was founded in 1950 and is a major international company, involved in development, production, trading and integration services of metals and minerals. CMC also has other divisions that focus on finance, real estate and logistics. Major resources and minerals that CMC are engaged in the production of include copper, aluminum, tungsten, tin, antimony, lead, zinc, and nickel.

CMC is a major shareholder in MMG Limited who own and operate the Century, Golden Grove and Rosebery mines in Australia.

Minmetals Australia, a wholly owned branch office of China Minmetals Corporation, was founded in 1988.
